Macedonian-Czech Business Forum

The Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion  in cooperation with the Macedonian Trade Association in the Czech Republic (Czech Macedonian Association of Commerce), yesterday, September 21, 2023, in Prague, Czech Republic, started the two-day business conference on the topic: ” Investment opportunities and WBIF grant process, networking and B2B meetings between Macedonian and Czech companies from the sectors of energy, automotive industry, agribusiness, wine industry and construction”.

The purpose of this two-day conference is to encourage economic cooperation between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Czech Republic, to facilitate the possibility of concluding new partnerships between Macedonian and Czech companies, as well as to encourage companies from the Czech Republic and the region to invest in our country.

The conference is an ideal platform for the present domestic companies to find new business development ways and strengthen ties with companies from the Czech Republic and the region.

At this conference, the director of Invest North Macedonia, Gazmend Abdija, gave a speech and support to the companies participating in the event. After the end of the official part of the conference, the attendees had the opportunity to taste Macedonian wine and food and meet with companies from both countries.

Today, a large number of B2B meetings between companies from Macedonia and the Czech Republic are expected, which we hope will result in successful future cooperation.

Doing business with the EU – How to achieve more intensive trade cooperation between North Macedonia and Poland?

The Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion invites you to the conference: ” Doing business with the EU – How to achieve more intensive trade cooperation between North Macedonia and Poland” which will be held on September 25, 2023 starting  from 11a.m. to 4p. at the premises of the Chamber of Commerce of North Macedonia, hall 4 on the 5th floor.

The conference is organized within the framework of the “Project to support the regional integration of the private sector” which is implemented in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Chamber of Commerce of North Macedonia, in cooperation with the Polish Embassy in Skopje, Invest North Macedonia, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) and the Lower Silesian Chamber of Commerce.

The purpose of the conference is to present the possibilities for intensifying trade cooperation between the two countries and to encourage cooperation in the direction of internationalization of the markets on the way to the EU. After the official part of the conference, individual business meetings between Macedonian and Polish companies will be held.

A high-level business delegation led by the Ambassador of the Republic of China, HE Zhang Suo, visited Invest North Macedonia

During the meeting, the representatives of the business community from the province of Yunnan got acquainted with the numerous advantages and opportunities offered by North Macedonia and expressed great interest in the opportunities for investment in the agribusiness industry, as well as in larger infrastructure projects.

The strategic location, the opportunities it offers, as well as the favorable business climate put North Macedonia high on the map of investors looking for an opportunity to expand their businesses.

Working meeting with representatives from Albanian Investment Development Agency – AIDA

Director of Invest North Macedonia, Gazmend Abdija, met with representatives from AIDA – Albanian Investment Development Agency.
Representatives of Invest North Macedonia and AIDA discussed ways to support companies from both countries in expanding their business activities by facilitating their growth and expansion plans. Implementation of good practices, exchange of ideas and experiences, as well as identification of areas for cooperation were put in the focus of the meeting.
Invest North Macedonia remains committed to building long-term cooperation with AIDA in the direction of strengthening the economic cooperation between North Macedonia and Albania.

The Polish ambassador visiting Invest North Macedonia

Today, in the premises of Invest North Macedonia, Director Gazmend Abdija met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Krzysztof Grzelczyk and Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in North Macedonia, Mr.Piotr Wysocki. The meeting was also attended by the representative of the Polish Agency for Investment and Trade Mr.Krzysztof Przylucki, Head of Foreign Trade office in Sofia, as well as representatives from Invest North Macedonia.

The focus of today’s meeting was the investment and export potential of the country, as well as the planning and implementation of joint activities in the second half of the year, which will enable the strengthening of economic cooperation between North Macedonia and Poland.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Invest North Macedonia and the Polish Agency for Investment and Trade represents a significant step forward and an incentive for the realization of business cooperation and connecting of Macedonian and Polish companies. In that direction, the Polish-Macedonian business forum was organized in Skopje, which was attended by over 60 Macedonian and Polish companies and B2B meetings and presentations were held, and last year a Macedonian-Polish B2B event was held in Warsaw in which 12 Macedonian companies took part, and the event resulted in the conclusion of a contract for the export of wine from a Macedonian winery.

Successful cooperation is the basis for building new partnerships and strengthening cooperation between Macedonian and Polish companies, it was jointly concluded at today’s meeting.

Invest North Macedonia remains strongly focused on building and maintaining the traditionally good cooperation with the Polish Agency for Investment and Trade, as well as strengthening business cooperation between Macedonian and Polish companies, increasing trade between the countries and encouraging investments that are key to establish sustainable partnerships, and fostering economic growth between North Macedonia and Poland

The director Gazmend Abdija visits Türkiye

Invest North Macedonia’s visit to Türkiye started with the productive meeting in the First Organized Industrial Zone(OSB) in Ankara. Director Gazmend Abdija presented the investment opportunities offered by North Macedonia to a group of esteemed representatives from Turkish companies.
During the meeting, Mr. Abdija highlighted the numerous advantages and incentives available for business in North Macedonia. Starting from a strategic location and skilled workforce to a favorable business environment, North Macedonia represents an excellent location for investors looking for growth and expansion of their businesses.
The representatives from the Turkish companies showed huge interest for cooperation with the Macedonian companies. Constructive discussions and exchange of ideas, as well as deep-rooted relations and mutual trust contribute to further strengthening of ties between our two countries.
The Director Abdija expressed his sincere gratitude to ASO1 organized industrial zone for their warm hospitality and impeccable organization and extended a cordial invitation to the Turkish delegation to visit North Macedonia.
